I LOVE SPRAY TANS!

I got a stack of assorted color Plexi-glass samples for free from a yard sale.  They are so cool!  I am doing something with them and they didn’t go into the garbage/landfill.  Above you can see I used the mirrored orange one to make a fun ornament.  I made it a Spray Tan themed because when I looked at myself in the mirror, that’s was my first thought.  I made this ornament with pompoms, rickrack, glitter glue, ribbon, a puffy plastic heart and clippings from vintage magazines.   You can buy it on our Ebay store!

Office Treeking

Treeking at the Office Party or at a co-worker’s house Christmas Party is a MUST.  This ornament is two sided fun and hilarity.  The back has a salutation that resembles a ransom note and the front shows why!  A ditzy little blonde dancing with the office clown under the shimmer of the disco ball and the warm glow of Christmas lights……this is not going to turn out well.  ityofficepartyfront

Nativity Ornament Like No Other

Here we are at July 1st, so it is perfect time for us to kick off our new, improved and current itreekedyou.com blog!  We just had to start off with one of the first ornaments that started it all for us – a toothpick and beans Nativity Scene.  We call it the “5 Bean Nativity Scene.  It’s appropriate that we celebrate “The Reason for the Season” – Jesus Christ’s Birth, with this adorable Christmas ornament.  The original version of this ornament was given to our Grandmother by a church friend and everyone has always loved it.  It is a little ridiculous, a little funny, but FULL of CUTENESS.  It is actually more sweet and cute the longer you stare at it.   Open your kitchen pantry and start glueing!  Go to our itreekedyou YouTube channel to see how to make your own.

Or, go to our Ebay store-treeking all the way – and buy one of these!

Nerd Elf

This was probably made during a craft class at the Nursing Home that Grandma SHOULD have skipped…LOL.  The back base is a flexible small plastic plate that has green felt covering it on both sides and red yarn looped around the edge and looped at the top to make a hole for an ornament holder.  Then the crafty person took a doll head that has blue eyes and freckles and made it a Santa’s Hat from faux white fur, white braided trim, red polyester fabric and a white pompom.  But before glueing the hat on the doll head, they took gold metal wire and freeformed the little guy wire rim glasses.  Then they made a collar of red polyester fabric, white braided trim and black pompoms, which they then glued onto a big white pompom.  Then they sewed the head/upper pompom torso onto the plate with the red yarn.  The expression on this guys face is priceless.  It’s almost like he’s saying “Can this craft project get any wackier???”.  A great itreekedyou.com way to say “I love you” to your favorite freckled boy, or for someone who just got glasses, or make a caption bubble out of white cardboard and have it say ANYTHING.  This guy measures 8″ High X 7″ Wide X 3″ Deep.

Many times crafty Grandmas think it will be cute to make their new grandson grandbaby a little baby doll.  But when the Daddy of the grandbaby boy says “@#!?!# No, you ain’t makin’ my boy a doll“,  then Granny has to do something with the cute little doll head she just bought in the WalMart Craft Department….and the plate she ate her doughnut off of this morning.  This ornament was available on our Ebay Store, but he sold.
